Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and sufficient Word of God. It was written by human authors through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Scripture is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind and contains the story of redemption that is available to humanity through Jesus Christ. It is the final authority for all matters of faith and life, equipping God's people for worship, discipleship, and faithful living.

We believe there is one true and living God. This God exists eternally in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully and equally God, sharing the same divine nature, glory, and majesty, while remaining distinct in personhood and perfect in unity. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father; yet they are one God. This triune God is worthy of all worship, and together the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit accomplish the work of creation, redemption, and the restoration of all things.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, perfectly fulfilled God's law, died on the cross as the substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father's right hand, and now reigns as Lord and intercedes for His people. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He accomplished the complete work of redemption for all who trust in Him.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity. He glorifies Christ by convicting the world of sin, regenerating sinners, indwelling every believer, and empowering the church for holy living and faithful witness. The Holy Spirit is our helper. He illuminates God's Word, produces Christlike character, equips believers with spiritual gifts for the building up of the church, and preserves God's people in the faith until the day of Christ.

We believe that God created all things out of nothing by the power of His Word for His glory. He alone is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, and everything He made was originally good. Although creation has been subjected to the effects of sin, it continues to declare God's glory and is being upheld by His sovereign power as He accomplishes His redemptive purposes in Christ.

We believe that humanity is the pinnacle of God’s creation. We are uniquely created in the image of God as male and female and were made to know, worship, and reflect Him. As image bearers, every person possesses inherent dignity, value, and purpose.

We believe that God is holy, yet sin has corrupted every aspect of humanity. As a result, we are spiritually dead and unable to turn to God apart from His saving grace. Through Adam’s fall, all people inherit a sinful nature and willingly rebel against their Creator, falling short of His glory and deserving His righteous judgment.

We believe that salvation is entirely the work of God's grace. In love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live the perfect life we could not live, die in our place for our sins, and rise victoriously from the dead. Through repentance and faith sinners are united to Christ, forgiven of their sins, declared righteous before God, adopted into His family, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live lives of joyful obedience. Those whom God saves will be kept by His power and will persevere in faith until the end, when they will be glorified with Christ forever.

We believe the church is God's redeemed people. Christ builds His church through the faithful preaching of His Word, prayer, worship, baptism and the Lord's Supper. Every believer is called to belong to a local church, where they are equipped to grow in Christ, love and serve one another, and use their God-given gifts for the building up of the body. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the church is sent into the world to make disciples of all nations, proclaim the gospel, and display the hope of Christ until He returns.

We believe Christ passed down two ordinances to the church to participate in until He returns. Through the Lord’s Supper, believers remember the sacrifice of Christ on the cross as His body was broken and His blood was poured out in order to redeem those who would believe in Him. It is reserved for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe baptism is the physical expression of the spiritual reality that has taken place in the believer. Baptism does not save an individual, but is an act of obedience reserved specifically to those who have repented and believed the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through baptism, believers proclaim their allegiance to Christ, identify with Him and with other believers, testify that the gospel has transformed them, and commit themselves to the life and mission of His church.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and bodily to judge the living and the dead and to make all things new. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal hope of God’s people living with Him forever in the new creation. Those who are united to Christ will dwell forever with God in the restored creation, while those who reject Christ will face eternal judgment. Until that day, we live with hope and urgency, proclaiming the gospel and making disciples as we await the return of our King.

Our Convictions

Expository Preaching

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It is His written revelation of Himself to humanity. Because of this, we are committed to expository preaching. The authority of the pulpit rests not in the opinions, personality, or creativity of the preacher, but in the faithful proclamation of God's Word. Our desire is for every sermon to magnify Christ, proclaim the whole counsel of God, and allow Scripture itself to shape His people.

Credo-Baptist

We believe that baptism is an act of obedience and a public declaration of a believer's union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Through baptism, believers publicly identify with Christ and His church as a testimony to the saving work God has already accomplished in them. For this reason, we believe baptism is reserved for those who have made a genuine profession of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Elder-Led

We believe the biblical pattern for church leadership is a plurality of biblically qualified men who serve as elders, entrusted with shepherding the household of God. Their calling is to faithfully lead the church through prayer, the ministry of the Word, the guarding of sound doctrine, the shepherding of God's people, and the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry.

Complementarian

We believe God created men and women in His image with equal dignity and value, while uniquely designing them to complement one another in ways that display His wisdom and glory. We rejoice in the gifts, service, and faithful ministry of women in the life of the church. At the same time, we believe Scripture reserves the office of pastor/elder for biblically qualified men, while calling both men and women to flourish together as they use their God-given gifts for the building up of Christ's church.

Our Core Values

Scripture

The Bible, as the final authority in all matters of life and faith, serves as the foundation for everything we do. Rather than merely assuming its presence, we seek to intentionally center Scripture in every aspect of our life and ministry.

Discipleship

We believe every follower of Jesus has a role in helping others follow Christ. As God continues to shape us through His Word and His Spirit, He calls us to pour into the lives of others through encouragement, instruction, and correction.

The Gospel

The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. It is the story of God’s gracious work to redeem a fallen people through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are committed to proclaiming the good news that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone.

Missions

We exist to glorify God by proclaiming the joy and hope of the gospel from Lake Nona to the ends of the earth, relying on the sovereign guidance and sustaining power of the Holy Spirit as we establish a gospel presence in our community.

Community

God has not called us to follow Christ in isolation, but has brought us into a family through the gospel. As the body of Christ, we are committed to loving and serving one another, growing together in faith, and reaching out with the gospel to our city and beyond.

Prayer

We recognize that the work God has called us to cannot be accomplished through human effort, wisdom, or strength alone. The mission of the church is ultimately God’s work, and we are dependent upon His power, provision, and guidance every step of the way.
